What we built
A sensor-driven totem that detects the device, opens the tray and syncs every return to a live warehouse dashboard. A pain point became a drop point.
The story
- The question
How do you let concert-goers borrow demo devices, and make sure they come back at the end of the night?
- The problem
Hundreds of borrowers, crowds that move unpredictably, staff who can’t track returns by hand, and devices accidentally taken home.
- The solution
A dual-layer system: a smart return kiosk where visitors drop the device before leaving, and a Bluetooth tracker inside every device.
- How it works
Each device is logged to the borrower’s ID on entry. The kiosk scans and verifies it on return. If someone forgets, the ops team sees its live location.
- The result
76.8% return rate, a 17% jump in compliance, a faster wrap-up and full visibility end to end.
