Branded Game Development, Explained
What Makes a Branded Game Work
People play a branded game because it is fun first and an ad second. The best ones are short enough to finish in a minute, worth replaying, and tied to something real: a product to scan, a reward to win, a mission to complete.
Web Games or App Games?
Most brand games we build run in the phone browser: players open a link or scan a QR code and start in seconds, on Android or iPhone, with nothing to install. When a game needs features only an app can give, we build it as a mobile app instead.
Results from Our Games
- Indomilk Kids × Pokémon: a progress-based AR game where players scan the pack, capture Pokémon and complete weekly missions reached 538k players with an average session of 2m 2s.
- Museum of Toys · Gaspack: an AR game with an average session of 5m 55s.
- NTMY: a shareable web experience with a 67% share rate.
- Sasa Santan Hunter: a retro pixel-art browser game inside an AR portal.
Educational Games
Games are a good way to teach: how a product works, a recipe, a safety rule. We combine short levels, quizzes and progress so people learn while they play, and the brand sees what they learned.
What Drives the Cost
The number of levels and mechanics, art style (2D, pixel art, 3D or AR), rewards and prize logic, leaderboards and data, and how long the game runs. We scope each game after a short call.
